Red Dead Redemption 2: System Requirements

Red Dead Redemption 2: System Requirements

The long awaited Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC is just around the corner. Now that the pre-order page has been launched on Rockstar Game Launcher, the game's system requirements have also been revealed.

Rockstar doesn't have the best history when it comes to PC porting, but this time (at least on paper) they seem to have managed to make a pretty well-optimized game. Why do we say that? Because Red Dead Redemption 2 can run on almost a decade-old processors and video cards that are considered to be well below the current average. That's right, Rockstar doesn't say for how many frames per second these requirements are. So here are the system requirements:

Red Dead Redemption 2 Minimum System Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7 SP1

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K or AMD FX-6300

  • RAM: 8GB

  • Graphics card: GeForce GTX 770 with 2GB VRAM or Radeon R9 280 with 3GB VRAM

  • Storage: 150GB

Red Dead Redemption 2 Recommended System Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 v1803 (April 2018)

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K or Ryzen 5 1500X

  • RAM: 12GB

  • Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB VRAM or Radeon RX 480 with 4GB VRAM

The game will be released on November 5 through Rockstar Game Launcher and Epic Games Store, and a month later on Steam.
