Jabra Elite Active 75t - Among the best headphones for sports and more!

Jabra Elite Active 75t are among the newest wireless bluetooth headphones that came that we tested. Why did we think they deserve a detailed review and why should you be interested if you "feel" in the target audience of this type of device? We’ll show you in the lines below.

First steps and first impression with Jabra Elite Active 75t

Before we talk about anything else, like functions or autonomy, let's see what they look like, because you wear them in your ears, right? And then you have to connect them to the phone, because they are wireless headphones.

The headphones are really beautiful and beautifully made. They do not feel stingy in any aspect, be it design or construction. The box, feels "rubbery" to the touch and not glossy, which makes it sticky to contact. The lid opens easily, but the hinge is strong.

The headphones themselves are also "rubberized" and robust, have those interchangeable silicone tips that sit extremely well and tightly in the ear.

Jabra Elite Active 75t Connectivity

After admiring them, we connected the Jabra Elite Active 75t to one of our iPhones, in this case to an iPhone Xs Max, and they connected instantly. We just took them out of the holder, the phone found them immediately on bluetooth, we installed the application from the AppStore (the app is avaliable on Google Play as well if you are using Androind) and good to go!

The application from Jabra is super simple and well made. This installation, which lasted less than a minute, without any bumps and difficulties, is essential for us for a quality product, and it shows us that the manufacturer has not neglected any aspect.

The application offers everything: an equalizer, which you can also control manually, and a series of presets like bass boost, smooth or a setting for calls, a total of 6 options. Also from the application you can make a lot of settings and changes, from the firmware update to the non-use interval in which the headphones enter sleep mode. And also from here you can connect it to a virtual assistant like Amazan Alexa, which comes somewhat default in the application, although we tested and it works well with Siri or Google Assistant.

And there is another very cool thing that can be "adjusted" from the application, the "hear through" function that allows you to hear to a greater or lesser extent, through a single cursor, the sound from the environment. If you run on the street, you clearly want to hear if there is any danger, to hear for example if you are shouted or honked. This setting lets these signals pass, you decide in what proportion.

To complete the "controls" in the app there are tactile controls directly on the surface of the headset. On the "command center" located on the left headset: one press and you can start or stop this Hear Through, forward the music at two presses, 3 presses play the previous song. And on the right headset you have the options to answer and close calls, play and stop music with one press, at two presses “summon“ the virtual assistant and at a long press you can adjust the volume.

But how is the sound on the Jabra Elite Active 75t?

Because after all, beyond functions and gimmicks these are a pair of headphones, right? First of all, it must be said that they are bluetooth 5.0, a net superior standard to previous versions, in all respects, including audio. So they sound exceptional! Flying colors, at least in this category of devices, because we don't compare apples to pears, do we? The scene, the sound stage is spacious, it has depth and the Jabra Elite Active 75t sounds suspiciously good for a pair of in-ear headphones!

The bass is quite deep, the sound is balanced and clear, and from the equalizer you can play with from the application is a killer feature, because you can correct and adjust the sound to the right tone for you in the end.

The volume is quite high, meaning you can listen to them very loudly, although we would not recommend that. Give it a few steps below and it will still sound loud, just as good.

There is another notable thing. The headphones have passive noise cancellation, so they are not active, but they still do very well.

The Jabra Elite Active 75t has two microphones on each headset and does a good job of isolating and eliminating background noise.

Battery and autonomy

We managed to get 6-7 hours listening to music continuously, at an appreciable volume during a day of different activities. Okay, they say 7 and a half hours, it's possible… we think, but even so it's still a lot more than most wireless headphones we talked about at the beginning of the material. Most of them last somewhere between 4 and 5 hours.

Water resistance

This is important, isn't it? Because Jabra Elite Active 75t are headphones for "rolling", use them at the gym, when running or cycling. If we tell you that they can be submerged up to one meter under water, we think that is kind of clear. What does a few drops of rain or sweat mean in these conditions?!

Conclusion and price Jabra Elite Active 75t

The Jabra Elite Active 75t are among the finest wireless headphones on the market right now. They have all the qualities: they sound good, they are beautiful and well built, but also very resistant, they have a lot of functions, a great app and a price… let's say in the predictable parameters for such a product at this level of quality. But in the end there is no expensive or cheap, but only products that are worth our money or not. And that's up to each of us.
