Travelmate P6 and Travelmate P2 Review: Laptops Designed for Professionals On The Go

In the same way that we are seeing these days in other brands, Acer also starts the year revealing its new bussiness oriented devices. Acer has decided to present two laptops prepared for those who always carry them, all-terrain laptops.

Travelmate P6 and Travelmate P2 are the two models presented that will be on sale in the 1st quarter of the year with 14 and 15 inches panels.

The company announced as having exceeded the standards of military resistance. Both models arrive with Windows 10 Pro and are marketed by Acer’s CEO as very durable but lightweight, offering the ability to work two days without having to charge them. But let's take a more in-depth look.

Acer Travelmate P6

This 14-inch laptop "designed for professionals on the move" weighs only 1.1 kg and occupies 16.6 mm.

Its chassis is made of magnesium-aluminum alloy to show off a more modern look, but also better withstand the mishaps that may occur when traveling with it.

The main plus in the high end model is its battery with an autonomy of just over 23 hours and according to Acer, can be charged at 50% in 45 minutes.

Travelmate P6 has a design that allows you to place the screen completely horizontal and arrives with Intel Core i7 processor, up to 24 GB of DDR4 memory and 1 TB of PCIe SSD memory. The NVIDIA series graphics card is GeForce MX250 and has four microphones that seek to extend the distance as much as possible to facilitate video conferencing.

Special emphasis has been placed on security and Windows Hello has been implemented in the system to activate the fingerprint reader and facial recognition if the user wishes so.

Acer Travelmate P2

According to Acer with this model is following the vision to work wherever we are with 4G LTE10 connections in addition to WiFi and a personalization specially focused on connectivity.

Moreover, it has a battery that can last up to 13 hours with a single charge. Acer Travelmate P2 comes with an Intel Core i7 processor and an optional NVIDIA Geforce MX230 GPU, up to 32 GB DDR memory and a 1TB HDD. It also brings USB Type-C, HDMI or VGA ports to facilitate professional environments.
