The announcement was shared via Reddit and the owner talks about how Bitcoin has done wonders for his life. mentioning that his personal goals and aspirations have nothing to do with being a millionaire. Therefore, he prefers to donate most of his fortune to charitable works.
Currently, his foundation has donated more than 8 million dollars to 8 different charitable projects.

According to the owner the money are mainly destined to issues such as health, medical research, environmental and wildlife problems. Likewise, donations are also destined towards technology, as well as the fight against sexual abuse and domestic violence.
